I achieved something i had always wanted to do. Pottery. Snowy over there is the miner who showed us his ancient lamp which amazingly still works :O

Our little excursion yesterday was really fun. Though travelling for 5 hours (to and fro) was not exactly pleasant.

What we did: Mine tour and pottery.

The mine was super cool with an old miner bringing us around. To think that we were deep beneath ground level and there was actually an active mine 800km below us.

Pottery has always been something that i have WANTED SO BADLY to do since i don't know when. FINALLY!!!!! I did a vase and will receive it in a nice green in 2-3wks time.

People have been telling me to have fun. So i guess the fun-less me finally did have some FUN!

Someone asked what plans i have?

Oh no, my mind is blank.
It' not me at all that in November, I still don't have an 09 planner.
However, I am not feeling lost or see an urgency in getting one. HAHA.

Give me a planner in 010109. Think i will need it then to at least know the dates.

What should be kept and what should not? It's so hard to decide. Everything seems so important to me. Argh..... even some broken stuff bring back memories. However, it will not be rational to pay to send rubbish home.

I guess it's just different as now we have soooooo much stuff. In the olden days, i am really amazed that people can leave with a small rattan luggage and return home with 2. They really travel light, or was it just forTV drama purposes that the luggage was just a prop?? I am also pretty amazed about the doubles i have. *embarassed*
Well i can continue to be santa for the next few weeks: Ho HO HO

Besides packing, Parting with stuff..... it's another skill to learn.

WA haha, there shall be less nights of sleeping, but very sure i did not really sleep =>insomnia.
I can also day dream as much as i want to also. Hee hee....

There's nothing much to say. Was talking to a few friends and we actually feel the same way. I thought i was the only one who was so retard, not feeling what we should feel until much much later. Apparently, it really takes a long time to set in.

Another thing. Waiting, like Dr Seuss says is the worst place to be. I totally agree that waiting can be pretty torturous. From his book, if we want to go to places, we better get out of the waiting area.

Ok, let me check my queue number and decide my next step. I don't really want to wait.

Although i cannot deny this super duper good shop ( a 5 mins walk from my house). I stay in little italy! U will never think that they actually have DURIAN flavour here and it's GOOD.

Saved some bloomberg stuff and from excel, it became a notepad file. I then had to transfer number by number onto excel. Reminisence of intern days. Ha ha.

Now a whole sheet of numbers face me and i am thinking how to use them. HOW?

Singapore Day

Gates opened @1030am. We reached the grounds at 11am. Lo and behold, this was what greeted us!!!!

We quickly chose one of the 2 queues to enter and waited. We joked that this was the unique trait of ours which is ==>kiasuism. Come on, we don't deny it and may even be proud of it! It's in us.

Thank goodness for efficieny (which i always believed we had), the queue moved. We got in in 1/2 an hour. Inside, we queued for more stuff (goodie bags and food). Hee hee.. being early we managed to avoid the crowd which later really ballooned to THOUSANDS!!! The queues just snaked longer and longer as time passed.

Inside the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, we managed to catch a few earlier performances. PCK was hiliarious.

Had fun, loved the T-shirt i got, the main goodie bag bag is also so cute.... . glad to be part of this rare event. The most patriotic day i have had since coming over. Thanks to S'pore for spending so much to pamper us. Tsk tsk...

Having more spare time, i decided to colour up this place.

Yes, i have a hook for my bags. It's this HUGE hook that can take up to 3kg. Wonder if all my bags add up to that weight. I don't like to put my bags on the floor and hanging them prevents them from getting out of shape :p. However, there are exceptions like clean home floors and my room. Yes people i know will once again deem me weird.

Oblivion is not a choice this time. Being informed is an imperative. It was fun to feel that what was happening 23 hours away actually MATTERED HERE. However, soon it feels like a distant thing that i really need not fret over. Numerals have also become small to be. Seeing 'B's used instead of 'M's start to make me think if billions are the new black. Maybe the resolution of 30yr olds making their first million is passe. How about 10m as the new target? Ha ha.. fat hope in this current bloodbath. Maybe only the facebook prodigy.

Where life continues, I finally realise why places that do nails actually make money. After attempting the simplest of tasks to paint my nails,it proved to be otherwise. They don't look perfect. Next time, i will just leave it to the pros. Who's up for a manicure?

'Step up' was being broadcast on TV. Hearing someone rave about it, we decided to watch. I was also busy making my coustume for some bdae party. While concentrating on the art work infront, i took short glimpses on what was happening on screen. There was also a verbal narration beside me to keep me updated. SUDDENLY!

A:" Hey u missed that part, REWIND REWIND!"

Z:" eh.... how to rewind?"

A pointed eagerly at our dvd player remote, prompting me to pick it up and rewind the scene. I stared blankly and just kept saying in between fits of laughter "HOW TO REWIND? x 3"

Food hangover summarises my day. FYI, it started last night. I am actually afraid of food for the first time. Maybe eating like we have not eaten for days in addition to the Jap fd series i am watching is taking a toll on my love for fd.
Actually, no. What else is there to look forward to than a hearty meal. Isn't life about subsistence? Stalin just needed people to live to produce. People also got minimal subsistence and still produced. Simple (oppressive) life?

I abhor the fact that my motivation is a carrot. It has to be somewhat tangible. How myopic of me.

Comfort food. They may look the same and have the same name BUT, it's just different (sounds familiar to an argument where u just don't want to compromise for the cheaper subtitute). To me the most 'comfortable food' is home-cooked food by someone else? haha... isn't that how lazy+pig+gluttony correlates? *snorts*

Usain Bolt and Micheal Phelps have finished their race, mine's just starting to heat up. Hopefully World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) views caffine as a legitamate substance.

Markets are profound. Never really liked those that I was exposed to since young. Carefully treading through puddles. They have evolved to become SUPER and stock everything, making it a one stop get lost place. The influx of numerous intangible markets makes barter more illusive to me.

Did i confuse u? Apologetic? maybe not. I am made to think so u better think too.

I finally found out what CLSA is. Good, at least i have enlightenment this week. I must learn something new everyday to be smarter right? If not i would have wasted a day!!!

had a great cup of mocha today. It even had coffee art i could admire. I wonder if a few days off from the gym will allow my phone diagnosis of sprained toes recouperate? I still think it has to do with the frozen feet i get when sleeping. Winter is just not a nice season. It's lovely to see some leaves sprouting out on the trees = spring! I realised the toll of stress is kicking in when i woke up this morning counting down to the day i get my comfy pocketed-spring bed again.

economy looks bad, maybe i should start saying it IS bad (everyong just denies). Well it may be a blessing in disguise as i have one more excuse of not wanting to work after graduation.

Someone helped a blind man on the bus. Well i felt good too when i helped an old auntie carry her marketing trolley off the bus. Yes... it's irritating how some people just ignore these people who need assistance.

A law student actually wrote in about people bringing prams onto public transport and not folding them up/ blocking a whole lot of space. Granted that these things do take up space and people to need to be considerate. However, to say that the mother should take the cab instead of the bus, I would say that that student is pretty insensitive. Who wouldn't take a cab and elminate all that inconvinience if i had a bottomless account. Hello.... ms lawyer to be... u may be a professional in future but not everyone is.

Other than that I just love to lie on the floor and stare at the fan spin. It's the best thing to do. Town is a mess.... puts me off trying to find my way around now.

The most interesting thing was last night's tennis. Zheng Jie rocks!!!

Coincidentally, my housemate and i bought body soap that reminds us of smells that we are not inclined to. I think i smell like the SIA toilet. Freak... will have to live with it for the next month.

yes, i have to show the world my cute soles. They are so cute. There is even a gal and a guy bear. Hope u can see the distinction. Not that new so slightly dirty.... The bears are coloured according to the colour of the shoe.Both are diff designs though. The green one is the green shoe which also has the bear embroidered onto it! See the gal in the first pic... the left foot is the guy.

Haha.. this is just to remember my shoes before they wear off from all the walking i do here.

However, i must thank my friend for listening to me 'scream' on msn. Haha.. It was a tormenting night of fickle minded-ness. In the end, i submitted my assignment with both eyes shut. I don't want to know anything else other than it entering the assignment box, period.

It's wk 11 of term eeek... so fast. Let's see... my to do list only has a few things. They all relate to paper, sitting down and memory processing. I WONDER WHAT THAT IS?
Opps... forgot. For work-life balance and to keep me sane, i need my exercise too :p

today had to be my most primative bath i have ever had. I boiled hot water in the kettle, brought the kettle into the toilet and bathed with a pail and bowl... yes, a bowl from the kitchen.

WHY did this have to happen?
Well just because the water heating system had to konk off on a cold rainy day. 7 degrees!!!!
So be glad when u have warm baths and unlimited water... it's also a luxury!

Currently, all the type of noise that one can make in when frustrated is coming out of my head. Notice it's not my mouth. Ha ha.. Feeling so frustrated with my assignment!!!! Why aren't they as simple as what they teach!? Pffft


Last night, MASTER CHEF in instant noodles (aka housie) cooked instant noodles. It looked pretty good. I was not hungry so i gave it a pass. Today, i gave it a shot.

Let me clarify, not that i cannot cook the simple 3 minute in boiling water noodles. These were the mishaps that happened. note that this is soup base noodles
1) I added my veg in too early, it came out darn soft
2)I already used the largest bowl i had!! But, lazy me decided to just pour everything from the pot to the bowl..... forgetting that the pot was bigger in capacity. Before i could stop, it was at it's brim... so so so full... and spilling slightly form the side. Darn!


Lastly, I did not like the bowl of noodles i cooked. Sharks, even cooking instant noodles needs practice. Well i can be pardoned as it's only my 4th time cooking instant noodles (it's TRUE!!!).

Well I still stand by RICE! Thus i cook that better than housie HAHAHA.
Conclusion, u cook what u like better :P

There are currently 3 TV shows i want to watch!!! They all premiere in MAY.

BUT but BUT

I don't have access to the channels to watch them... darn. Pfftt.....

Our TV here has also been quirky... We set the channels and the next day, the channels change numbers. Reception has also been poor. At times, we really just watch the TV... with a blue screen. That is when we are too lazy to put a disc in to play.

Anyway, my latest hottest headache is U=1.5 E(r) - 1/3 A (std dev)*2

On the label, they also state a super interesting story as to why their water is named this way. All I can say is that i take my hat off for the person who thought of this marketing concept. They also claim that their water is bloody good (pun intended). It just taste like water .......They claim they have a great bottle design. It's just the plainest bottle i have seen.....BUT, they still win in catching all the attention they need with that name.

If only new water was packaged this way. Maybe more of the world would have taken a second look at the PROCESS we discovered. We really seem to have a lack of imagination. From newwater and the budget terminal, I don't know how bad naming things can get.

Thank goodness that newwater was not called nonwaste water.

See, thats the aftermath of not moisturising. Double paper cut... ouch. It's also at a very inconvenient location on my hand in which many things rub against. Boo hoo...

So, don't be lazy and start moisturising. grr.... Now it will take me 10 more minutes to get out of the house. First you have to deal with the face, pick the clothes and now care for the hands... haha...

What to do, for the sake of not being in pain. :P

Yesterday at the gym, i finally know what emergency stop was haha...usually i just use it to end my workout.....

I was on the treadmill at a speed of 9.1 (pretty fast for those who don't know), there was this little toddler playing on the one next to me. He was not suppose to be there. Don't know how he was running around that area. Anyway, as a young curious child, he wanted his treadmill to move like the rest. He tried jumping, stomping and even hung from the bar...
Suddenly, i realised he was staring at me and slowly inched his foot over , wanting to step on my fast moving belt. I shouted "NO" and punched the RED stop button. As the belt slowed down, he tried to inch over again.. I really cannot imagine how things would have turned out if he just jumped on.



Yay! my distant- short holiday has been booked all by myself. Even though i am still skeptical about how reliable zuji can be, we shall see if i get a place to sleep then.

Do not want to be up this late. However, circumstances are inevitable. It's the noisy neighbours again. Arck....

Looking forward to the sunday times. There seem to be such enticing articles for tomorrow... or should i say today. It is 11pm on my clock but its actually still 12am. Just that i turned my daylight saving time ahead a little early.

Been going to the gym 4 days consecutive. Feeling a little strain on my right foot's toes. Think i shall take a break tomorrow. Seriously need to sleep. The weather is also super Cold as its been raining on n off the whole day. 10 degrees ok. Just 2 weeks ago it was 40. Freak weather.

So many pple are out of town. Aww... makes me want to bum around too. Although its easter week, i have not really been able to stone... hai... july july july :)

Oh one last thing. I was suppose to be bridesmaid tomorrow. Sort of sad that i rejected it but then again, luckily i did. If not i will be pulling my hair to meet deadlines. I am already brain dead now.

Today is cooking day. Going to have sushi for lunch and spaghetti for dinner. Grow fat ahhhh!!!!!

Nvm... other than these few days, there will not be much time to cook. The due dates all lined up give me the jitters...grr....eat well now and starve then... haha...

Someone dreamt of my wedding reception. Hmm... of course the first reaction was to ask who is the groom????? For a split second, i thought my future was going to be revealed. Fat hope, Mr right is still anonymous.

It's been 2 weeks, quick or not, time just passes at its usual rate. Other than the days passing, it has also been increasingly hot here. On the contrary, my beloved sunny island has been downcast. With what layman perceive as weird weather, my housemate just slaps us back to reality by reminding me that i am an evil human just like others contributing to global warming.
Yes, i love my tissue paper. However, if u can save, do try to save the world every bit you can.

Many things that i do still remind me of the summer hols. Even the scientific calculator feels foreign now. I am so use to the Aurora 12 digit large button calculator. The digits on my scientific calculator look so small too.

Hope my eye sight has not deteriorated.... could not see very well in lect today. Is it the projector deteriorating or me ???

I am back. Luckily this time everything is already in place so i just unpacked and am some what prepared for school.
Just had my first lecture and it feels weird going back to sch after such a long holiday. Lectures are so foreign. However, the enviroment and people are not. Routine shall kick in pretty soon.

Happy that i managed to sell one textbook :). Sold it at a profit too!

see, i remember

There is a young girl whom i know of who still watches sponge-bob square pants while having dinner. Since she needs this sort of entertainment, i entertained her with an "aeroplane" of food to go into her mouth. The A380 will be reasonable as her chewing ability is pretty developed. Zoooooooooom here comes the food !

However, i do appreciate this girl's company for today. We went to orchard (finished what we had to do), took the train to city hall, walked to raffles place, took the train to marina bay then headed home. It was a full 9 hours reminicing.

The conclusion of the day was: i should get rid of the pants i was wearing. there is nothing to do but to eat. the show was a little draggy. poeple tend to follow herd mentality even though a jarring sign infront of them says EXIT TO LOBBY and they all walk the other way (super puzzling). People have difficulty recognising me with my new hairstyle. Somehow there are many younger than us, How could i forget about LIBERTY MARKET.................................... it goes on. Remember in another 34 yrs, we qualify for $4 tickets.
Finally i can stop bugging u about the s..r. There has been a sweet ending to that chapter.. haha...it was interesting right... sending that sms with me ??? HEE HEE

Relieved that there will be no hiccup at immigration.

Re-lived my sec sch day haircut... maybe i am just not use to it yet. Ha ha..
Started the book that i bought yesterday. Interesting. Finally i found a book that makes me flip its pages.

Reliving all the memories that i have had the past 3 months. Wish i could walk in all the places i have been in 3 days?? A little impossible.

Cell came over to my place. Fabulous time. Moreover, everyone enjoyed supper, yum :)
Compliments about the tiramisu also made my day although i was feeling sick and now am officially sick. Hee hee.

It's a few days before i leave my beloved sunny island. I have had one of the best experiences of my life this summer break. Meeting great people and learning lots of things in life.
